Melted Lakes

by Ross Belfer | 01.03.16

Melted lakes. Mesas turn into mountains as the urban grit sheds one layer. As winter ebbs and flows in spring, life just simply tastes sweeter: culture in its shape-shifting form; beauty in the daily blight. Walking around town to the unforgiving cacophony of car horns, construction workers shouting in any which language (I’ve counted more than five); blaring House music through a broken windowsill, at 4AM; goats maaaaa-aaah’ing on a deserted Yafo street. And then the moment of essential bliss where white noise ceases to exist, needed in a small dose each week in order to recharge for the next. We all know the feeling. Stronger sunshine just forces us to be outside. Inspired by the newfound-season, a small dose of spring in Tel Aviv awaits you in black & white photo form, below.
